Fraser Dance Team

This year is senior Alyssa Vodak’s last year on the Fraser dance team.

           Alyssa’s favorite dance this year was jazz and it was to Flashlight and it was just an emotional dance.  She said that she has grown so much as a dancer, but in the past four years she has grown the most. Within the four years she has learn to not just dance with her body but to also dance with her emotions.

           “This season was amazing. We grew so close as a team, which made us work really hard. Our hard work led us to success when we got our 2 first places at the Avondale High School competition. Having a 10 month season and practicing the same 2 dances for 8 months you would think that we would get really sick of it and stop trying, but it only pushed us harder to being the best we can be.”  

           Alyssa will be continuing her dancing career after high school into college. She is debating on either dancing for Grand Valley’s dance team or just doing a troupe, which is just a group, that dances with all levels.

           She would like to thank all of the coaches for an amazing season and endless memories she has with them. She will miss you all and cannot wait to see what the dance team accomplishes in the future.  “FDT forever”
