Season of Giving

season of giving   It’s that time of year, again! Fraser’s Season of Giving has begun. November 4- 8 is Charity Week. Penny wars between classes have taken place during lunch hours. Students filled tubes corresponding to his or her class with loose change, competing against other classes to collect the most change. Contributions from penny wars will be forwarded to Wigs for Kids, the charity of the year for FHS.

The Giving Tree was set up in the media center last week. Tags that hang from the tree state an item that is wanted by a less fortunate child. Tags are to be taken by students, who are responsible for retrieving the item and giving it to Mrs. Engardio in room 1813. All Giving Tree gifts are due by December 6th and will be delivered on December 13th.

The Food Drive starts on the 11th. For every five cans or non- perishables a students brings, they will win a mini prize. If 15 cans are brought in, the student will be able to ender a raffle for a mystery prize. The drive ends on the 22nd. All cans collected are used to feed Fraser families in need.

The Fraser’s Furry Friend’s drive will run through December 9- 13, donations will be collected for animals to be given to a local animal shelter.

A Winter Spirit week will spark during the week of December 16-20. Monday is Get up and Go day. On Tuesday, wear your holiday best. Wednesday is Holiday color day (freshmen and sophomores wear green, juniors and seniors wear red). Thursday is Holiday Day, so creak out the Santa hats and reindeer antlers, but save the ugly Christmas sweaters for Friday, which is ugly sweater day.
