Therapy Dogs During Exam Week

Therapy+Dogs+During+Exam+Week

Exam season is a typically stressful time for students. At Fraser, the Be Nice club brought in two therapy dogs to help relieve some of that stress.

The dogs, Jupiter and Disney, belong to Ms. Steere, a new teacher at Fraser. She believes that the dogs increase student participation levels, they help to show academic improvement in students, and they are very beneficial to mental health.

The two dogs were very popular among the students. There were 80 slots posted to sign up to meet Jupiter and Disney, and within a day, all were filled.

Dana, a freshman here at FHS, said that she felt like having the dogs here really allowed her to get away from all the exams and the stressful schoolwork. She found this experience very relaxing.

Another student, Izzy, said that she loved having the dogs around.

Jupiter and Disney brought a lot of joy and relief to the students here at Fraser. With years of training to be therapy dogs, the pair is very well-equipped to do their job: putting smiles on everyone’s faces.
