Billie Eilish Hit Me Hard And Soft: The Tour is a concert film directed by Billie Eilish and the legendary James Cameron. Being a very casual fan of Billie Eilish, I was interested in this concert film because of James Cameron’s name being attached. Now, as someone who wanted James Cameron to move away from Avatar, a concert isn’t what I had in mind (but I’m open minded). However, I personally enjoyed this over all three Avatar movies.
Now with this being a concert, there’s not a plot or story going on. There are documentry parts of this which highlight how the show gets put on and goes behind Billie’s creative process. All done really well. when you don’t have the documentary parts going on, you get the concert. The concert takes up majority of the runtime and is fun to watch. Billie kills it and keeps you entertained throughout. She mainly plays songs from the 2024 album but also plays the fan favorites. The 3D doesn’t do anything for movie but i can understand the idea behind it, but the concert does visually look great.
Overall, I had a fun time watching this concert and would give it a 4/5. It definitely makes me want to go through her discography to become a bigger fan.
