Mrs. Short’s AP Literature and Composition students are bringing the semester to a close with their final independent reading discussions and projects.
At the beginning of the semester, students were given the option between reading one of two novels: All the Light We Cannot See or Station Eleven. They had the entire semester to read their chosen novel.
On Tuesday, they had a book café themed class. Students were welcome to bring in Christmas cookies to exchange, and Mrs. Short brought in hot chocolate, coffee, and pop for students to drink. The tables were rearranged to resemble a café.
The students were able to choose groups to discuss their novels with. Each student had a placemat in front of them with guiding questions to lead their discussion.
Students were able to enjoy themselves with a Christmas and reading celebration to unwind before winter break.
