Everyone’s been asking if having a year-round school is a good idea or a bad idea. As I asked one of my classmates, he said and I quote, “No way, I want my three months.” Even though you wouldn’t have three months off of school, you would get longer Christmas breaks and spring breaks. Some kids don’t want year-round school. But there are already lots of other districts that have a year-round school year. Some of the kids having a year-round school, and some kids do not like having a year-round school. Some kids think having a year-round school means that they have to go to school everyday, even in the summer. That’s a big reason why some people don’t want a year-round school year. But, if you have a year-round, that means you would have longer breaks but a short summer vacation. There are a lot of different opinions on year-round school. If you start having a year-round school calendar, you just have to face the facts and just deal with it.
