Testing Out

Max Kurzynski, Flash Staff Reporter

Fraser Public Schools is giving students a huge opportunity to test out of the Michigan Merit Curriculum and earn high school credit, according to the email that Mr. Sines sent out to students and parents. To test out students must have a grade of at least a C+ (77) on one or more performance assessments determined by each course, which could involve written test, portfolios, and presentations. However, students may not test out of CTE classes they are currently taking. Successful test takers will not have to repeat a lower-level course within the same subject area, and the credit is based on a pass grade, not factored into the students GPA. Students must fill out the forum by May 31 to be eligible to participate in the testing taking place on August 22.
