The Club HOSA is for students of any grade who is interested in being a future health professional. The teacher Martha Vaneenenaam-Iwanicki (Mrs. Van-I) is the leader of the club. There are two students officers of the club, Brianna Daley who is in grade 12, and Jenna Bullis who is in grade 11 that also run the club. HOSA has been around since the 1980s. Van-I talked about people who join “Any body can join, usually people who are of interest in health care, people health care, animal, dental, etc”. One of the goals is too get hosa into the middle school. Hosa is a great opportunity to meet people whom enjoy the same things you do, and to also become more independent. One of the things Brianna enjoys is the teddy bear clinic they do. Jenna said she enjoys when hosa does the blood drive, “I think its a great way to help others”. If you are interested in joining, you can fill out a form from Mrs. Van-I.
