The 204 band members arrived photo (1)at the school by 6:45 to board the buses headed for Downtown Detroit.

At around 26 degrees Fahrenheit with snow for a two and a half mile march, it was a very winterized parade.

“It was cold, but really fun; a once in a lifetime experience.” Said piccolo player, Sandy Smith.

While the band was in the TV zone they played a song called Sleigh Ride, arranged by Mike Story.

With over 450,000 votes, the band earned 2nd place in The Battle of the Bands.

“The students represented themselves, the music program, and Fraser Public Schools very well,” Rodgers said.
