Senior Skip Day. Is It Legit?

Being a senior in high school is both stressful and relaxing at the same time in different facets. On one hand you’re in the final stretch of high school, however that shoots both ways because then you’re an adult out of school.

But the senior skip day is it a nice gesture towards young adults out the door soon? Or is it unnecessary work time off? To me as a Junior I can say that I’ve known three separate generations of seniors and I have not heard of a single student that doesn’t appreciate their days off of school.

I know that I wish I had more days off but I’m not a senior so I guess I haven’t put enough days in to deserve it or something.

We juniors do get our scheduled day off after doing the SAT but the thing is that some of us including me got that day off taken away from us for one of a few reasons, mine being that apparently I didn’t spend enough time on the test.

The underclassmen get no such type of day off but that’s okay because their just starting out here and they haven’t really done anything to warrant one. They definitely aren’t happy on those days though since they know they have to wait a year or two and take a test to get the Junior day off.

The senior day off is just another factor to make you encouraged to do good so you can look forward to senior year and the senior benefits.” Gonna be completely honest here I’ve been looking forward to being a senior for two reasons one of which being the days off, the other being the proximity to freedom” said Jarod Wallace supporter of senior skip day.

All in all the senior skip day is a nice addition to the school year as it does give both seniors and every class under something to look forward to.
