Fraser Baseball is on a Roll

The Fraser boys’ baseball team got off to a rough start early in the year, but have been hot the past 2 weeks. They’re currently on a six game win streak that includes a sweep of MAC gold rival Marine City. With this hot streak, the Ramblers are tied for first in the MAC Gold, but do not control their own destiny because they lost two of three games to Warren Woods Tower earlier in the year.

During this six game win streak, the Ramblers have outscored opponents 39-19 behind the big bat of junior catcher Paul Baur. Baur led the Ramblers throughout the Marine City series where he saw his fifth home run top the fences at Marine City. Matt Nahtygal and Justin Scheuer were also a big part of the three game sweep as they both posted a three hit game during game two of the series. The Ramblers bats have been hitting so well that they’ve scored at least ten runs in two of the last three games.

The Ramblers still have an opportunity to win the MAC Gold title, but they’re going to need the help from their biggest enemy: Lake Shore. The Ramblers must win their final two games of the year against the Lakeview Huskies while they also need Lake Shore to steal at least one game against the Titans.

The Ramblers are currently 15-8 overall including a 9-4 division record. After already beating Lakeview on Monday, they will face Lakeview two more times in a home and home series as they look to capture the MAC Gold title. Their final game is at Rochester on Saturday.
