When the topic of English class comes up, most students think about essays and reading plays and novels. Some people hate it, some people don’t. Well, Bridgette Wolf, senior, absolutely enjoys her english classes. It is not wonder that she is the English Student of the Year!

She was told ahead of schedule that she was chosen by Mrs. Woods.

“I was completely surprised but absolutely humbled. I didn’t even know what she was talking about because I didn’t know Student of the Year was a thing,” Bridgette Wolf said.

She has always been an avid reader and was encouraged by parents and teachers to sign up for accelerated and AP English classes. It was through there did her interest in English flourished into making English one of her favorite classes.

“Class discussion is my favorite part of English class, not so much the reading or essays or assignments. I like talking with others and sharing opinions about said reading, essays, and assignments because it opens me up to other perspectives,” Wolf said.

There is always that one specific activity in class that everyone loves in their favorite class. It seems that class discussion is Bridgette’s. Just like 2014-15’s English Student of the Year, Dimitar Jakimoviski, Bridgette will be attending University of Michigan Ann Arbor in the fall. Her current plan is to go into research psychology.

Congratulations Bridgette Wolf on being 2015-16’s English Student of the Year!
