Marching Band Festival Ratings

During the half times of a football game, the home school’s marching band would always perform a show for the crowd that they all enjoy. Marching band performances aren’t only for football games, people. They also have competitions, they have to work hard to play the music, to go to their correct spots on the field.

The Fraser High School “Rambler” Marching Band have always performed their best at their football games and at marching band festivals. On Wednesday, October 14, the FHS marching band received a First Division rating in the Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association District 16 Marching Band Festival at Warren Mott High School.

For the Fraser marching band, this is their FIFTEENTH straight year taking a part in marching band festival AND receiving a FIRST DIVISION. This is also the TENTH year in a row that the Ramblers are the largest marching band in District 16. A total of 245 students were a member of the Class AA marching band.

At the event, there were 36 marching bands within District 16 (all of Macomb and St. Clair Counties, and parts of Oakland County) that participated as three judges graded the bands in categories of music, marching, and general effect showmanship. The Ramblers earned STRAIGHT A’s within the 3 graded categories for a final overall rating of a FIRST DIVISION.

Congrats Fraser Marching Band! We are so proud of you! Thank you for all of your hard work in putting on a great show! Your First Division shows how much your work paid off!
