Congratulations to The Fraser music Department who took home five awards and two first place rankings from the 2014 Chicago Heritage Festival This past weekend. 97 student musicians represented the symphonic band, 21 performed in mass band, and 55 students competed with Fraser Singers. Fraser competed against schools from across North America. Awards listed below:
Symphonic ensemble (combined band and choir): silver ranking
Jazz band: gold rating, first place ranking
Show choir: gold rating, first place ranking
Junior Patrick Score and senior Bradley Arnold both received a
the Maestro Award for being selected by the adjudicators as an outstanding soloist (jazz band) at the festival.
