With technology on the rise since the early 2000’s, students grew up with technology and are always on their phones. Now a days, children always have a phone in their reach. People tend to text the person that is right next to them instead of talking to them face to face.

With technology taking over, according to textrequest.com, AT&T, Verizon, T-mobile, Sprint, and all the other phone companies have made a profit from the new world. 561 billion text messages were sent worldwide. Meaning that’s roughly around 18.7 billion texts sent every day around the world.

The United States has the most texts sent in a day. Teenagers are the number one cause, most of the time a teen spends in a day is on their phones. Being on their phones a lot, means they aren’t interacting with others when in person.
