Beauty and the Beast Remake

On March 17 2017, a live-action version of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast is coming to the big screens.

Filmed by director Bill Condon, the family-friendly animation hit that captured the hearts of many back in 1993 is being brought back to new age movie viewers. The loved beauty, known as Belle, will be played by Emma Watson. The terrible Beast, known as Prince Adam, will be portrayed by Dan Stevens. Luke Evans will play Gaston, Josh Gad will play LeFou, and Kevin Kline will portray Belle’s father, Maurice.

Ewan McGregor, Ian McKellen, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Audra McDonald, and Emma Thompson will lend their voices as Lumière, Cogsworth, Plumette, Garderobe, and Mrs. Potts, the unique antiques in the Beast’s house. A new antique that is added to the Beast’s collection is Cadenza, a grand piano, that will be played by Stanley Tucci.

A new adaption of the cartoon had been in the works since 2009, but it was originally supposed to be a Broadway musical. It was not announced that it would be a large motion picture film until 2014. The filming began started in May 2015 and ended August 2015.

Since the release of the trailer back in December, Walt Disney Pictures have released multiple posters featuring the cast, as well as a motion poster of Belle.

The posters include all the aforementioned characters, either in their human form or their antique animated form.
